As an Engineering Manager III you will lead your organization (direct and indirect)to achieve organizational objectives and directions by managing, coaching, and developing the organization, managers and individuals. You will be responsible for the execution, timely delivery, and quality of the work, scalability, time to customer, cost, and technical leadership.
What you’ll do
  • Set and continuously work on technical direction and execution on team scope.
  • Be responsible for standardization, development, delivery, and operations.
  • Lead for engineering effective, quality of the output, creating the technical roadmap
  • Work with internal customers to understand their needs and drive the adoption of best practices.
  • Be an advocate for CI/CD, SDLC, and SRE best practices.
  • Work on the "Secure & Compliant by design" approach.
  • Build out an engineering team to high engineering standards.
  • Actively manage and coach a team of engineers, taking their personal development to heart.
  • Provide leadership to managers; may also provide leadership to supervisors and/or to senior individual contributor employees
  • Has accountability for the performance and results of a team or multiple related teams
  • Develop departmental plans, including business, production, operational and/or organizational priorities
  • Control resources and policy formation in area of responsibility
  • Addresses complex problems through by Identifying applications of functional knowledge and existing methodologies
What you’ll need
  • Experience in cloud-native infrastructure, including Kubernetes on public cloud platforms (AKS and/or EKS) and related technologies and tooling for cloud runtime platforms and end-to-end delivery (packaging, service mesh, ingress, identity, and access management).
  • Familiar with at least one public cloud platform, preferably Azure or AWS
  • Proficiency in one programming language and having strong architecture skills.
  • CI/CD technologies, including source code management (GitHub), pipelines, secrets, artefacts.
  • GitOps practices and infrastructure automation, including infrastructure as code
  • Experience with SRE best practices
  • Cloud-native architecture, technology, engineering, and operations (CNCF)
  • Security, privacy, and compliance essentials
Nice to have
  • Modern coding languages (experienced in infrastructure-related languages such as Golang and Python; familiarity with product engineering languages such as Java, C++, Scala, Kotlin)
  • Serverless technologies
  • Software-defined operating models and technologies, including IaaS, CaaS, and PaaS
  • Software architecture fundamentals
